Happy Sunday!

With all the craziness going on in the world out of our control, today’s newsletter focuses on things within our control. As you prep for the week ahead, consider this: what if the secret to a spectacular life wasn't doing more, but simply seeing more of what’s already there?

Today:

  • finding things to appreciate

  • gratitude as a longetivity hack

  • top reads this week

  • trend: old school industries going digital

🔥1. Find things to appreciate

Author Esther Hicks on where to look:

“If all you did was look for things to appreciate, you would live a joyously spectacular life.”

🔥2. Gratitude is a longevity hack

Researchers followed nearly 50,000 women (average age of 79) and discovered that those who frequently noticed and felt grateful for positive experiences lived significantly longer.

The data is hard to ignore:

  • 9% Lower Risk of Death

  • 15% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease.

  • Better sleep quality and lower risks of depression.

Plus, while some people are naturally more grateful, gratitude is a "modifiable" trait…meaning you can train your brain to do it.

How to use this week to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease, depression & increase sleep quality

According to the study, simple, low-cost habits can compound your "grateful gains". Pick one of these to try starting tomorrow:

  • Every night before bed, write down three specific things that went well that day and why they happened.

  • Think of someone who has had a positive impact on your life but whom you never properly thanked. Write them a letter or, better yet, give them a call.

  • Spend just 2–3 minutes in the morning visualizing people or circumstances you are lucky to have in your life.

Social Wisdom

The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you.

Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses - go on more side quests.

You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.

"Old School" Industries Going Digital

Construction and home services are finally having their "iPhone moment." While most contractors still run their businesses on clipboards and hope, Roofr is leading a wave of SaaS (Software as a Service) that brings high-tech tools to the job site.

Roofr uses satellite imagery and AI to measure roofs in minutes for as little as $3.50, instantly turning those measurements into professional proposals and automated material orders.

Why it’s exploding: .

  • Massive Volume: Platforms like GoodLeap have already facilitated over $30B in financing for solar and home projects.

  • The Digital Gap: Contractors are traditionally "tech-avoidant," but the ones who adopt these tools are absolutely crushing their competition on speed and professionalism.

How to Profit from the "Contractor Tech" Boom

You don't need to know how to swing a hammer to make money here. The opportunity lies in being the "bridge" between the tech and the trade.

1. The "Digital Transformation" Agency (High ROI)

Most small-to-medium roofing or HVAC companies are overwhelmed by tech. They know they need to modernize but don't have the time to set it up.

  • Your move: Start a boutique agency that specializes in "onboarding" contractors onto platforms like Roofr or BuildOps.

  • Charge a setup fee ($1k–$3k) to move their messy paperwork into a clean, automated CRM. You become their outsourced "Chief Technology Officer."

2. High-Efficiency Lead Gen (Performance Pay)

Because Roofr allows you to get a roof measurement and professional proposal for under $15 in two hours, you can move faster than any traditional sales team.

  • Your Move: Partner with a local roofing company as their exclusive "Virtual Sales Arm."

  • Use satellite imagery to identify homes with old roofs, run the Roofr report yourself, and send the homeowner a ready-made quote before a competitor even answers the phone. Take a commission on every closed job.

3. SaaS Affiliate & Training Content

As these startups (Roofr, BuildOps, GoodLeap) fight for market share, they are desperate for "user-generated" proof and tutorials.

  • Your Move: Build a "Tech for Trades" YouTube channel or newsletter.

  • Create "How-To" videos for specific workflows—like "How to Order Supplies via Roofr in 5 Minutes." Monetize through affiliate sign-ups and sponsorships from the software companies themselves.
